A large majority of those arriving in Texas between 1810 and 1845 were German, Swiss, and Czech settlers. Their influence can be seen in the names of cities and streets throughout Texas. Though they were not prepared for the weather conditions their cultural style  adapted more  to Texas lifestyle. Even Texas Vaquero style was based more on adapting to conditions than style. Styles changing based on tradition but also practicality.
